URS has long tracked the Asheville market as a target and has spent considerable time understanding the market, and a construction partner that URS was looking to collaborate with brought a fully entitled 16.7 acre site, with site plan approval for 319 units. The site has excellent proximity to major employers, recreation, and retail. URS was able to secure equity and financing to close on the project in May 2023, and will consist of both “wrap” style carriage homes and garden-style apartments, with a premier amenity package: a grand clubhouse, a resort style saltwater pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, cybercafé, pet spa, hiking trails and more. Construction will commence in Q2 2023.
